Preparation

You should prepare for the alcohol serving license exam by reading the guidelines on serving alcoholic beverages published by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). The guidelines cover key topics related to serving alcoholic beverages and highlight relevant legislation and other guidelines. Here is a link to the exam material: Serving of alcoholic beverages.

Test situation

When arriving for the test, be prepared to prove your identity. Moreover, SeAMK students are also required to show a valid student ID card or similar.

The test is taken independently. The exam consists of a total of 60 statements, which have been prepared based on the Valvira guidelines. One hour is allocated for the exam. The exam is considered passed if the examinee scores at least 80 percent of the maximum number of points.

After the exam

After the exam, you will see your results immediately. Once you have passed the exam, your alcohol serving license will be mailed to you

Those who pass the exam are qualified to work as managers of retail and alcohol serving establishments. .

Test cancellation

Registration can be canceled by informing the contact person before the end of the registration period. The payment will be returned to the customer within two weeks (14 days) according to the bank wiring information given to the contact person upon cancellation. In cancellations made after the end of registration time, the payment will only be returned in a case of force majeure (a doctor's certificate, or equivalent, must be presented).
